Whether glittery pumpkins or spooky spiders is your cup-of-psl, there are certain MUST-HAVE elements to create a perfect, cozy fall vibe.
1. Color palette: I recommend warm base colors such as burnt orange, peach, and beige. Fun accent colors to play with include sage, navy, and mustard.
2. Texture, texture, texture! If you didn't get the hint, the more textures the better! Opt for cozy fabrics such as knit, velvet, or macrame. You want the room to feel as if at any moment it would be appropriate to curl up and binge 6 hours of American Horror Story.
3. Lighting: Definitely get some candles- bonus points for scents such as pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, or anything that suggests your baking skills extend past a Betty Crocker cake mix. If you're not a fan of fire hazards, opt for warm-toned string lights! This instantly gives off a relaxed, inviting vibe.
4. Add personality! Creating a perfect fall vibe is really about what makes you feel warm and cozy on a chilly day. For someone like me, it might mean 8 throw pillows on a twin XL bed and a $1 glow-in-the-dark skeleton from Dollar Tree. That's the beauty of decorating, it doesn't matter what you do, as long as you have fun and enjoy your space :)
Oh boy. You're making me want to stop reading blogs and go decorate. I am a bit behind on my fall decor, but got some good ideas from your blog! Need to do more than the usual trot out the Halloween decorations. I like the candle and scents idea - a way to bring Fall to your house when it certainly doesn't look or feel like it outside.
@cintryyy thank you!!! That means a lot, simply because I love it so much! And I totally feel you- Friday after class I went to Tjmaxx for a sweater and came back with $200 worth of fall decor haha #oops
@angelinaford2016 I completely agree! I love the fall ~vibes~. I think it is so loved because it really kickstarts the season of celebrating family, comfort, coziness, & good food of course lol.
I can tell you definitely have an eye for this kind of stuff! I love the color palette, and just reading this blog posts makes me want to go to Marshall's and buy all of this!
I love the fall aesthetic! I think the warm tones of the color palette give the feeling of being "cozy" which goes along with the rest of the rest of the examples like textured sweaters. The fall aesthetic really emulates a distinct feeling, and I think that's why people often love it so much.
